How I Fell in Love With Weddings
My love for celebrations started at home. Growing up, I watched my mom and her best friend throw elaborate parties—not for the sake of a perfect event, but to create memories for everyone involved. I saw the joy it brought them, and that joy stuck with me.
I never set out to be the headset-wearing, clipboard-toting “wedding planner” stereotype. What I do now is so much better: I get to bring big visions to life, handle the details that matter most, and then celebrate right alongside my couples and their families.
One of my most defining moments came long before I became a planner. I attended a friend’s $4000 wedding in abandoned bowling alley. I couldn’t tell you what the centerpieces looked like, or what food we ate, but I can tell you it was the most memorable wedding I’ve ever been to. Why? Because it was pure celebration—friends, love, joy, and zero distractions. That’s the kind of wedding I want for every couple: one you’ll remember not just for how it looked, but for how it felt.
